We have a number of guides that work for the Ely Fishing Guide Company.  They are the best of the best!  They set the standard for the most knowledgable and professional guides in the area.

- Rob Nelson, Guide/Owner -

Rob has had a passion for fishing Northern Minnesota since he was a kid travling on family fishing trips. Rob started the Ely Fishing Guide Company after attending college.  Rob is a professional year round guide. Rob spends his Fall managing and guiding pheasant hunts in South Dakota and then returning in the Winter and Spring, guideing ice fishing.  There are two things that you have to love to be a successful guide, people and fishing!  Rob feels he has the best job in the world.  He has had repeat customers for over 13 years.  Rob has logged over 2000 guided fishing trips! Rob lives in Ely, MN with his wife Virginia.

- Eli Hill, Guide -

Eli has been fishing in the BWCA area his whole life.  Fishing is his life, and he does it well.  When you fish with him, you will have plenty of laughs as well as fish in your boat. In the school year Eli spends his time as an Industrial Tech teacher. This allows him time for his true passion in the summer months, fishing.  Eli has been guiding fishing trips For the Ely Fishing Guide Company for more than 10 years.  He spends every chance he gets in the pursuite of fish.

MIKE STARK/ GUIDE

Mike is our newest member of the Ely Fishing Guide Company!  He has been Guiding Canoe trips and Sled dog trips for the last several years.  He is our Boundary Waters speacialist and will be guiding day and overnight trips.  Mike is very enthusiastic about fishing and is eager to share all he has learned with his customers!
